Aaron Blabey

An Australian author of children's books and artist, the creator of The Bad Guys and Pig the Pug – the two famous series for children, who have been translated into many different languages and are published all over the world.

Aaron has been an actor, and then in 2006, he turned his focus to the creation of children's picture books. His first book,Pearl Barley and Charlie Parsley, was published in July 2007, followed by various titles which gain him fame, and most important, success and enjoyment!

His other titles - including Pearl Barley and Charlie Parsley and The Ghost of Miss Annabel Spoon, also won several awards, e.g. Children's Peace Literature Award 2013, the ‘Patricia Wrightson Award’ in New South Wales Premier's Literary Awards 2013.

He has also been the National Literacy Ambassador, who helped raising national awareness of the importance of young people’s literature, relating to lifelong literacy, education and the development and betterment of the lives of young people.
