Get in the mood for Judy Moody this summer @ Blooming Club (Suitable for ages 5 - 10) (10/07/2010)

Judy Moody, one of Blooming Club's favourite characters, is now 10! Ever since Megan McDonald created the smart, funny and moody third-grader ten years ago, Judy Moody has been loved by fans in over 20 languages and countries who love following her adventures and changing mood for each occasion. Her special Judy Moody language and her ability to deal with each difficult situation, after some initial sulking, are just some of her many charms. Whether she is working on a school project or just having fun with her gang, she shows that she has a huge personality.

The author's easy to read and amusing style together with Peter H. Reynold's wonderful black and white illustrations make each character burst into to life. Come to Blooming Club to find the whole series of titles and enjoy a special 10% discount from 10 to 16 July.

Alternatively, join us for a reading of Judy Moody, the very first book in the series, on 10 July at Blooming Club and get yourself into the Judy Moody groove and a positive reading mood for the long summer holiday!

About the author

Megan McDonald grew up as the youngest of five sisters in a house full books in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She was given a note book by her mother to write down everything she wanted to say because with four older sisters, she was barely able to get a word in edgeways during the family storytelling time. And that started her writing.

About the illustrator

Peter H. Reynolds is the president and creative director of FableVision Studios in Watertown, Massachusetts, where he produces award-winning children's broadcast programming, educational videos, and multimedia applications.
