Blooming Club – 5th Anniversary Party (04/10/2014)

Blooming Club is celebrating its 5th anniversary on 4th October!

Mrs. Jan Mann will tell award-winning author Peter Brown's new book, My Teacher is A Monster.

Come and help us celebrate!

There are three parts in our Party:

PART 1Story Time: My Teacher is a Monster Have you ever thought that your teacher is a monster?
Robert thought his teacher Miss Kirby was a monster! In his eyes, she stomped and she roared. One day, he bumped into Miss Kirby in the park. What a terrible surprise it was! But, by lunch time, they were happy that they had bumped into each other. Why's that?
This session is especially good for all misunderstood students and misunderstood teachers!

PART 2My Favourite Book Sharing Session 10 children can join "My Favourite Book" sharing session. Each child needs to bring to the party a drawing of the character / characters from his or her favourite book, and then stand up and share with the audience why it is a favourite in 1 minute. Each participant will receive a lovely picture book! We look forward to the sharing and the pictures. "My Favourite Book" registration Please email the name, age and gender of your participating child / children to bloomingclub@commercialpress.com.hk in addition to the usual registration below. Limited availability on a first-come first-serve basis.Registration quota is reached.

PART 3Party TimeNeedless to say, we will have a birthday cake, drinks, a lucky draw and free gifts.

About the author:

Peter Brown is the author and illustrator of many bestselling children's books, including Mr. Tiger Goes Wild. He lives in the USA and is the recipient of a Caldecott Honor and a New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Book award.

About the storyteller:

Mrs. Jan Mann has worked as a librarian and storyteller for more years than she cares to admit. Her main aims have been to introduce both children and adults to the joy of reading a good book, sharing books with family and friends, and encouraging the development of a lifelong reading habit.
