Mid-Autumn Festival storytelling (10/09/2011)

Come and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at Blooming Club on 10th September 2011."Hong Kong Talespinners" will be telling moon stories from other parts of the world as well as the legendary Chinese ones surrounding the moon festival.
Celebrated by Chinese all over the world on the 15th day of the eight month in the Lunar Calendar when the moon is at the roundest, families and friends gather together to admire the beautiful moon while savouring moon cakes and seasonal fruit such as pomelo, star fruit and persimmon. For children, it's the night when they can have fun carrying around brightly lit lanterns.
This year, why not enjoy some moon stories told in English by storytellers from the U.K, U.S., Canada and Hong Kong and learn about different cultures?
