Father's Day Story time: The Tale of Georgie Grub & My Dad (17/06/2012)

Georgie Grub would not give himself a scrub,
No matter how his mother tried,
When she said “Soap”, he’d run and hide.
But Georgie gets a suitable mucky comeuppance in The Tale of Georgie Grub, a gloriously funny cautionary tale by multi-award winning Jeanne Willis.
Come and find out the consequences of children who don’t wash on 17 June 2012 at our storytime by David Parrish.
As a tribute to all dads on Father’s Day, David will also read My Dad by Anthony Brown, a book for sons and daughter of all ages – especially for dads.
About the storyteller:
David Parrish has always enjoyed reading since he was a little boy thanks to his Mum and Dad who would take him to the library to select books and read to him at bedtime. His favourite picture book was the Three Billy Goats Gruff, even though he found it a bit scary at first but he read it over and over again. The early introduction to reading and being read to, was a wonderful gift that has stayed with him all his life.
David has been living in Hong Kong since August last year and when not working here or travelling, he enjoys taking a ferry to one of the many islands or walking in places like Tai Lam Country P ark.
