Review
Clifford is 50! We had a party for him at Blooming Club on 12 Jan 2013. Everyone was really excited when Clifford appeared – he is indeed a BIG RED DOG! All of us looked so tiny beside him.
We all wished Clifford a Happy Birthday. Clifford was very friendly and tried to shake hands and make friends with each member present.
The children loved the Clifford's adventures in the three stories Mrs. Judy Luk read from the Clifford Collection, a 50th anniversary edition with six classics stories. They were surprised to know that Norman Bridwell, the author, named Clifford after his wife's imaginary childhood friend, and Clifford's eight-year-old owner Emily Elizabeth after his young daughter!
Clifford's stories have been translated into 13 languages, delighting millions of children all over the world. Through Clifford's heartwarming journeys and adventures with friends, children have learnt life lessons such as being kind, sharing, helping others and being a good friend.
There is so much for the children to play and learn with Clifford and his friends. Visit www.scholastic.com/clifford for more!Have fun!
We look forward to more stories from Clifford and hope that more children will become readers as a result.
Thank you, Clifford, for coming to Blooming Club!
Thank you, Mrs. Luk, for telling Clifford's stories!
Thank you, parents, for bringing the children!
