Review
On 5 June, our members were treated to the wonderful story of Petunia, the silly goose, at our first ever storytelling session at our brand new children’s books corner at Miramar Shopping Centre.
It delighted our smart young members to see how all the animals were fooled into believing that Petunia was wise just because she was carrying a book and turning to her for advice. That of course led to one disaster after disaster until the firecrackers exploded burning and bruising the animals, all because Petunia could not read the warning on the box. The story ended with Petunia filled with joy reading the book blown opened by the explosive, knowing that she would become truly wise and make her friends happy.
It always gives us at Blooming Club extra pleasure to bring to our members books which have not got much attention in Hong Kong to our members. Petunia is certainly one of them. We are very much encouraged to see customers coming to our shops to look for the book since our promotion last month. There will be more such titles which are gems in the future for all of you.
