Story Time: Amma, Tell Me About Diwali! (24/11/2012)

Diwali, also known as the "Festival of Lights", is celebrated every autumn, and is one of the most important festivals for Hindus. It is very special as it also starts off the Hindu New Year.
Families gather together to celebrate in their homes with many traditional activities including lighting diyas (oil lamps). But why do they do that?
Bhakti Mathur, the author of Amma, Tell Me About Diwali, will explain everything to us.
If you want to know a bit more about Indian culture, don't miss this event.
