Story Time: Clifford the Big Red Dog (18/07/2013)

Clifford the Big Red Dog is 50 this year!
Since 1963, the friendly, outgoing and helpful Clifford has been bringing lots of fun to children all over the world. They enjoy Clifford's many adventures with Emily Elizabeth, his eight-year-old owner, not to mention the trouble he gets into.
Mrs. Judy Luk will be telling classics Clifford stories from the new Clifford Collection as well as explaining the background to his creation.
We are celebrating Clifford's birthday together in Hong Kong Book Fair 2013. There will be a big birthday cake and Clifford is coming to share the joy with our young readers!
About the author:
Norman Bridwell spent much of his free time drawing as a child. He followed his mother's advice and went to art school after finishing high school. There he found out that people enjoyed his funny illustrations and stories. His painting of his own little girl with a very big dog caught the attention of an editor who asked him to write stories about them. And so Clifford and Emily Elizabeth were born in 1963. www.scholastic.com/clifford
