A great big thank you to all of you who visited us at the Blooming Club booth at Hong Kong Book Fair 2013 (17 – 23 July 2013)! Our team always enjoys this big annual event because we love the chance to meet you during the week, and find out what books your children love to read. That's very useful information for our book selections in the future.

This year we had two booths, doubling our size from last year. We had a large backdrop featuring the images of Matilda by Roald Dahl, Clifford the Big Red Dog by Norman Bridwell, characters by Richard Scarry, Lulu by Camilla Reid and Hen's Pen from Usborne's Phonics Readers. These eye catching characters helped make our known! We are very pleased that apart from the books, you also like Blooming Club's free clear folder, totebag and 2013 Great Reads for Your Kids, which have the same design.

We also held a 50th birthday party for Clifford the Big Red Dog on the second day of the Book Fair at the Children's Paradise's Performance Stage. About 50 children came to meet Clifford. They were thrilled to see how big he was! Mrs. Judy Luk told three classic stories from The Clifford Collection, followed by a lucky draw and a birthday party. Clifford was really happy to celebrate his birthday with his fans in Hong Kong!

Visiting Hong Kong Book Fair with children is indeed a great annual activity for many families; many left with loads of books in their travel bags. Isn't it nice to beat the heat of the summer by reading some great books in the coolness and comfort of your own home with your children?

If you didn't come this year, here is the list of our top 20 titles for summer reading.

Happy reading!
