Only one more week to Christmas! Many children are very busy rehearsing their parts in their school's Christmas show. We hope that everyone will have a wonderful time just like the boy in The Christmas Show by Rebecca Patterson.

At our Story Time at Kiddyland, Elizabeth Beer, Senior Teacher for Holiday Courses at the British Council, told this fantastically funny story of a Christmas show which is going well until a spare little shepherd surprises everyone and steals the show.

Our young audience and their parents loved Elizabeth's lively presentation and the BIG surprise.

Author-illustrator Rebecca Patterson always shows the bustling life of young children with brilliant observation and great humour. In My Big Shouting Day and My Busy Being Bella Day, she captures young Bella's emotion, whether she is throwing tantrums all day when everything is going wrong or when she is going to nursery but keeps imagining what her young brother might be doing. Bella learns in the end the special word... SORRY in the former and that nursery isn't so bad after all in the latter.

These hilariously funny and reassuring books by the winner of The Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2012 are not to be missed!
