Grimm Tales (27/11/2010)

Rapunzel, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Rumpelstiltskin, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel & Gretel-these are just a few of the 200 captivating stories collected by the Grimm Brothers two centuries ago in Germany. Even when Napoleon took control of the German states for six years from 1806 and suppressed local culture, the two brothers worked hard to keep it alive. If it hadn't been for Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, many of these wonderful tales of enchanted castles, deep dark forest and a host of extraordinary characters might have been lost forever.
Come and join the 'Talespinners' for a session of scary, humourous or just plain silly stories. They will spin and weave their magic in this hour by telling stories from the Brothers Grimm.
