Patrick's Birthday Message storytelling (18/02/2012)
Patrick is an African grey parrot who lives in the jungle in central Africa. He is faced with the problem of sending a birthday message to his Great-Grandpa Gilbert who will soon be one hundred years old. There is just one big problem – Great Grandpa Gilbert lives thousands of miles away in Australia!
Join Gail Clarke, author of Patrick's Birthday Message, on 18 Feb 2012 and follow the birthday message as it travels toward Australia with the help of Patrick’s animal friends both great and small and learn fun facts about migration along the way.
About the author & storyteller:
Gail Clarke spent 28 years in Hong Kong as a teacher before retiring to Italy with her husband in 2004. The freezing winters there made her think about migration to warmer climates where her children and grandchildren live. That led to even more interest in animal migration which in turn has resulted in the publication of "Patrick's Birthday Message".
