Blooming Club at the 6th International Cultural Industries Fair at Shenzhen from 14th –17th May (14/05/2010 ~ 17/05/2010)

From 14th–17th May, visitors to the Shenzhen Children's Library will have a chance to browse the books Blooming Club features at its counter at the Sino United Publishing (Holdings) Ltd. stand at the Children and Teens Section held simultaneously with the 6th International Cultural Industries Fair 2010 (6th ICIF 2010).

The 6th ICIF 2010 will be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre. This spectacular cultural event, covering an area of 105,000m², provides a comprehensive platform for participants from cultural industries to exchange information with the mainland and for the mainland to promote its cultural products to the world.

Quality children's books regularly featured at Blooming Club Children's Books Corner and website will be on display at the Shenzhen Children's Library, including bestselling titles and latest releases from Macmillan, Penguin, Orion, Scholastic, Sterling, Walker, Usborne, Oxford and Auspicious Times.

Since the launching of Blooming Club last October, it has received plenty of support and recognition from the public for its efforts to promote English reading in Hong Kong. Its participation at the 6th ICIF is a great opportunity to introduce to teachers, librarians, parents and children in China the objectives of the club as well as its selection of children's books.

On the first day of the fair, Blooming Club will also bring its popular storytelling session to the Shenzhen Children's Library from 11:00am – noon. About 100 primary school children will come to meet Sarah Brennan, the very popular Hong Kong-based Australian children's writer, and listen to her stories.
